Gaspard de la Nuit explores the more expressionistic, nightmarish side of dreaming, evoking seduction, grotesqueness, and terror. Kürtag’s Játékok playfully engage with memory through homage. Tomos Boyles closes the programme with Shostakovich’s glorious final tribute to the memory of Bach.
